Our menu blends traditional and contemporary European and Mediterranean flavours that enhance natural flavours and creates dishes that are delicate and delicious. Sal’s Prime uses only fresh, local organic ingredients, hand-picked herbs, fresh caught wild fish, local cheeses, house made sauces, and of course, our Canada Prime AAAA grain-fed beef and Organic Japan Grade Kobe. We also offer a nightly three course menu for $35 alongside our regular menu. Canada Prime grade beef makes up only 1% of the total amount of beef in Canada and is graded by the following standards: the animal’s maturity, the colour of the meat, the conformation of the muscling, the fat colour, and the sex of the animal. Canada Prime results in the highest standard of beef in Canada and is why Sal’s Prime is proud to share the Canada Prime Beef experience with our customers.
Kelowna meet Kobe! Kobe beef is traditionally from the Wagyu cattle in the Kobe region of Japan, where isolated and rugged terrain led to unique breeding and feeding techniques. The cattle are hand fed with a high energy beer mash diet and hand massaged to decrease stress and muscle tension. These techniques resulted in rich marbling of the beef and a velvety texture that just melts away in your mouth. Sal’s Prime Kobe Beef is imported from Redmond, Oregon where the farmer has obtained Wagyu from Japan and bred and raised them in the traditional Kobe manner. Kobe is a melt in your mouth delicacy that few have tried, but those who have understand why this is the best quality beef that is out in the market today.
The Southbend Infrared Broiler has been designed to combine speed, efficiency and output to help create the perfect steak. It has an internal temperature of 1650 degrees, penetrating the meat and locking in all natural juices. It grills the steak from the top and bottom, searing the steak, melting the marble, and intensifying the flavours.
We did not forget about the kids! Our Prime Kids menu offers the same quality as our regular menu in smaller portions and keeps in mind the taste buds of our younger counterparts. Including a 4oz filet mignon, colossal prawns, pasta and specialty children’s beverages.
Sal’s Prime Proprietor, Sal Gupta created the first Ric’s Grill eight years ago. Now, there are 17 Ric’s Grill restaurants and Lounges in British Columbia and Alberta.
